Scott and I enjoyed our Spring break this week. Scott tackled his email and is down in the 60's!!! Unheard of! I became an arbitrator for Family Search indexing and struggle to NOT download another batch. It really is horribly addicting. They should have a link to the 12 step process on the website.
We drove down to Sanford on Friday and ate at Local Joe's and then did some pottery shopping. Scott kept insisting all week that that's how he'd like to spend his break... yea right!
We also started working on a violin cart for Elena's orchestra. Price in the catalog $495.00 - from Despain's Woodshop $130.00.
Scott's other triumph this week was returning the $300.00 car part that Ford said he needed and fixed the problem with a $6.00 thing that looked like a plastic grommet. Cool.
We decided to take the family to a movie Sat. night. We went to the $1.50 theater to see The Waterhorse, which turned out to be a pretty good movie, but the action in the theater turned out to be an experience in and of itself. Long story short - lesson in patience learned. A young family with lots of talkative kiddies ended up sitting right behind us. I rescued the sippy cup twice as it rolled under the seats. The kid behind Elena kept informing his neighbors that "It's not a DRAGON!'. Dallin received some popcorn in his lap from the kid behind him and somehow the baby didn't appreciate the attacking Loch Ness monster portion of the movie (sorry if I spoiled it for everyone). A caregiver brought in an autistic individual who sat and rocked back and forth in the squeaky chair 2 rows ahead. Not that distracting to us, but apparently the guy in front of us just couldn't handle it and let the caregiver know what his thoughts were. We were astounded that anyone could feel okay about saying ANYTHING! Then the unanswered cell phone belonging to Scott's neighbor kept playing a jazzy tune. Makes the quiet atmosphere of home viewing almost boring!
